As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer who is proficient in on-premises deployments as well as cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
 
Job Description: The DevOps Engineer at Acceliot Inc. will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing both on-premise and cloud-based production systems. The role encompasses everything from hardware provisioning to software deployment and monitoring, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of our IoT solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on-premises and in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
  • Design and manage tools for automation of different operational processes, including system provisioning, configuration, and scaling
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our applications and data by implementing comprehensive cloud and on-premises security strategies
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies for our IoT solutions
  • Provide support for our existing infrastructure and troubleshoot environmental issues as they arise
  • Monitor the performance of our applications and infrastructure, and respond to system failures and irregularities
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology trends and cloud best practices, continually improving the efficiency and reliability of our deployment processes

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Proficient in on-premises infrastructure as well as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure environments
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or an equivalent
  • Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring systems, and familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
