This role will work across two core platforms:

  • AEP (Acceliot Edge Platform) – our distributed edge compute and hardware orchestration platform
  • AVP (Acceliot Visibility Platform) – our asset tracking cloud platform

Job Description:

We are seeking a Full Stack Platform Developer to help design, build, and maintain the backend services and platform components that power AEP and AVP. This role is primarily backend-focused, with some full-stack responsibilities related to internal tools, APIs, and platform interfaces.

You will contribute to scalable, reliable systems that run on both edge devices and centralized infrastructure, supporting real-world asset-tracking and visibility use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for AEP and AVP
  • Build APIs that support edge devices, platform services, and customer-facing applications
  • Develop platform components for device management, data ingestion, processing, and orchestration
  • Support distributed systems deployed on Linux-based edge hardware
  • Improve system reliability, performance, monitoring, and observability
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on architecture and feature design
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational tooling

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong experience building backend or platform services
  • Strong Java skills
  • Proficiency with tools like Git and Gradle
  • Experience with Kafka, MySQL, and Mongo
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of Linux-based systems in production environments
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn new disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed systems or edge computing platforms
  • Familiarity with asset tracking, IoT, or real-time data systems
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Exposure to DevOps or site reliability practices
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure hosting environments
  • Frontend experience with React and Ant Design
  • Experience with AI agents
  • Experience with data visualization, graphical mapping, and analytics
